In July of 2022, we hosted the second webinar of our Sustainable Megaprojects series in partnership with Oxford University’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. The event was led by Leasil Burrow, Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford and Founder & Director of Minerva Imagines. Leasil was joined by Gali Glatt Simhi, VP of Quality and Innovation at NTA. Gali discussed her experiences as a female leader in the world of megaprojects and shared advice for women who want to carve out a successful career in the industry.
We were proud to host Gali and showcase her success story last summer and we are proud to finally announce today that the English translation of her book “Running Hurdles: How to Forge Ahead in Your Career as a Woman” is now available to order.
Gali has almost 20 years of management experience in transportation and infrastructures, including the position of CEO at Aviv AMCG Company which operates in the fields of engineering, environment, and infrastructures.
Gali aspires to achieve a significant impact in her work and to create change. At Aviv, Gali turned a small business unit with five employees into a profitable company with 90 staff, while developing new areas of expertise, signing international partnership agreements, and establishing professional external relations.
At NTA, Gali is responsible for Quality Assurance, including supervision of technical, engineering, and process monitoring, in order to ensure that the Light Railway system will be sustainable, user-friendly, reliable, safe, and efficient. In addition, Gali is responsible for information systems and leads innovation and sustainability in the company.
Gali has an academic education in the field of Geography and Urban Planning and an Executive MBA.
Gali lives in Tel Aviv. Together with her husband, they grow three sons
Running Hurdles was written from the author’s personal experience. Half is an autobiographical journey, while the other half is an original and fascinating guide, in which every woman will find something of herself and her own experiences.
Gali Glatt Simhi writes with exhilaration and intelligence about the hurdles that career women face and cope with. She suggests creative ways to bypass the hurdles on the road to a welcome and long-awaited change—and, ultimately, to success.
